Inseparable

1.

Chi Wen was frail, the kind of person who could only stay in a special-care ward.

As she was slipping into a coma and her consciousness began to fade, she heard someone ask what her greatest wish was.

Without thinking, Chi Wen answered with Min Yunqi’s name.

Who could have guessed...

When she woke up, she really did meet Min Yunqi.

And in a very special way, she stayed by his side for eight whole years.

2.

One night, the members finished their schedule early and were chatting in bed when the topic suddenly turned to their ideal types. They took turns answering, and when it was Min Yunqi’s turn...

He glanced at the little girl beside him, who was pretending to be asleep, and smiled.

He said,

“I like someone who can keep me company every moment of the day.”

The bedroom fell silent for a moment, then erupted.

“Hyung, are you saying you like me?”

“I didn’t know you were...”

Min Yunqi’s face darkened. He reached over and pulled the giggling Chi Wen into his arms, then said sternly, “Shut up. There’s someone I like.”

Then he leaned close to her ear and whispered, “I like you.”

3.

Chi Wen disappeared.

Min Yunqi searched for a long time. He went to the place where they had their first date, and to Daegu...

But he couldn’t find any trace of her anywhere.

Until one day, while taking his younger brother for a walk, he finally saw Chi Wen.

Only...

There was no joy in her eyes, only unfamiliarity.

She had forgotten.

Min Yunqi froze for a moment, then smiled again. He said:

“My name is Min Yunqi.”

It was all right, he thought.

As long as she was still there, everything would be all right.
