Once upon a time, there was a mountain. On the mountain was a nunnery, and in the nunnery, an old nun was telling a young nun a story:
Once upon a time, there was a girl who was clever, beautiful enough to outshine the moon, and so stunning that she could topple kingdoms. She had bright eyes and pearly teeth. She fell in love with a man so ugly, vulgar, and despicable that he was an eyesore, but he didn't love her. Heartbroken, the girl cried, “I'm so wonderful! Why doesn't he love me?”
Young nun: Master, why would such a beautiful woman fall for such an ugly man?
Old nun: Because she's blind.
Just then, a handsome man came flying over on his sword.
Man: Darling, had enough fun? Come home with me.
Old nun: Go home with your ass! Get back to reflecting on your behavior.
The man picked up the old nun and flew away on his sword.
Young nun: Mistress, Master is afraid of heights! Go slower!
First, the past, then the present.
P.S. The old nun isn't actually old, she's just pretending. The man is over a thousand years old.
