In ancient times, several great divine clans spread across the Four Seas and Eight Wastes. To the east lay the Dragon Clan's Ninefold Realm, and to the west, the Phoenix Clan's Three Pure Heavens. One was separated by a stretch of clear water, while the other marked the source of a great river.
There are four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. When the next year comes, a new cycle begins.
