One day, Cyril's workaholic king received a very unusual gift: a beautiful nightingale. He had fair skin, long flaxen-gray hair, and a wonderful singing voice. The gift-giver addressed the lofty king: "Your Majesty, I know you already have everything, but this nightingale is truly one of a kind."
The king kept the nightingale and allowed him to stay and sing while he worked. That night, the king heard the nightingale's song. The bird shook out his sleeves, then gave a cold laugh under the king's expectant gaze. "Heh. Idiot."
The king: "...What?"
...It really was very unique, the king thought.
*"From now on, my little nightingale will sing only for me."
Sarcastic nightingale (bottom) x workaholic king (top). One-on-one, a healing little sweet romance, probably a short-to-medium-length story.
Fairy tales adapted include "The King and the Nightingale" and "The Nightingale and the Rose"... (More to come.) I'll post once I've written enough to run two stories at once. If you're interested, feel free to bookmark it!
