Although I'm a fan of tragic endings, this story will have a forced happy ending (don't worry, you can dive in).

The gong has late-stage lung cancer. His illness progresses gradually. I'm not a medical professional, but I'll do my best to follow medical principles and keep things realistic.
The medical content below may be triggering. Please use your own judgment:
- Coughing up blood, described briefly at the beginning and later in the story
- Surgery scenes, with one major surgery early on and another later
- Emergency care and ICU
- Chemotherapy and side effects, mainly vomiting, stomach spasms, and neuropathy
- Cancer pain and nerve pain
The character relationships are borrowed from the classic Taiwanese novel Young Blood, with some changes to characterization. You don't need to have read the original. You can read this as a standalone BL novel.
[Gong] Lei Junfan, an accountant. A rational, forceful traditional husband, despite being ill.
[Shou] Nangong Lie, a litigation lawyer. A kind, accepting altruist and gentle pushover, though he does have principles.
[Friend] Qu Xirui, a neurosurgeon. A workaholic who worries too much and is a great cook (crossed out).
They're all around forty in the story and live in the same city. Lei Junfan and Nangong Lie are already married.
My professional background has nothing to do with healthcare, finance, accounting, or litigation. I'll do research as I write and try to keep things factually plausible, but I may still get some things wrong. Please feel free to point out any mistakes. *bows*
Finally, my ability is limited, and I can't handle too many characters. The other characters from the original may not play major roles, or may only appear briefly.
Also, the original's Gary Stu elements don't exist in my version.
