"Bang, bang, bang." Liang Likang and Qi Yue turned their heads at the same time and saw fireworks blooming in the distance, one after another, lighting up the night. They were dazzling and brilliant, each flower opening before slowly fading into the darkness. Qi Yue watched the fireworks. Liang Likang watched Qi Yue. He wished time would stop right there, with fireworks in the sky and the person he loved in his arms.

It's been raining an unusual amount this year, with showers always arriving suddenly and without warning. Those caught unprepared end up soaked and bedraggled, their hearts wandering off somewhere else before they even realize it.
Sipping hot tea in a cozy greenhouse, with someone to share the sight of autumn rain falling among the flowers in the courtyard, is a lovely thing. Qi Yue said, "The first time I met you was during Grain Rain. It was raining that day, too. Every time I see you, it rains, Liang Likang."
"Then it would be nice if I got to see you every time it rained," Liang Likang said.

Qi Yue closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around Liang Likang's waist, rubbing her head against his neck. Still half-asleep and completely unaware, she murmured softly, "You're so warm."
Her actions startled Liang Likang so badly he didn't dare move. He could feel Qi Yue's forehead pressed against his chin, her warm breath brushing his neck. It was as if her breath scorched his skin. His neck and ears turned red. The room was utterly silent. He seemed to have forgotten that he'd come up to wake her, and simply let her drift back to sleep in his arms.
