Who is more beautiful, Kaitou Kid or Dazai Osamu? Who is better at picking locks?

Ever since Kaitou Kid came to Yokohama, he encountered a man named Dazai Osamu at every heist.

The other man could always see through his disguises at a glance, while he always managed to escape Dazai's pursuit.

Little by little, Kuroba Kaito realized that Dazai always showed up at just the right moment, and the chaos he caused always happened to let Kaito evade the relentless pursuit of ability users.

It's fine. You have your ability and your script. I have disguises and gadgets.

One day, after returning a jewel as usual, Kuroba Kaito had just opened his door when he saw an uninvited guest sitting on the sofa. The man greeted him as naturally as could be: "Welcome home."

Kuroba Kaito, Tokyo's greatest lock-picking expert, immediately felt insulted. So he decided to take up the challenge and compete with Dazai Osamu to see who was the true "Lock King of Yokohama."

A story about two master actors playing each other and testing the waters back and forth.

[Before You Read]

1. Pairing: Dazai Osamu x Kuroba Kaito. Dazai is the older gong, but Kaito is no pushover. A strong-strong pairing.

2. I wrote this for fun. Those misleading edit videos were just too addictive.

3. A lighthearted, slice-of-life story. I ship Soukoku and Kaito Shinichi, but that doesn't affect this story. The Soukoku and Kaito Shinichi here are both platonic.

4. Updates whenever I feel like it. Don't rush me. Enter at your own risk.
