Read at your own risk. This was my first novel, and it's a bit rough around the edges in every way. Please check out my other works instead TvT
[My new novel, The Usurping Prince's Soft White Moonlight, is now underway. The blurb is below~ (Scheming male lead x sweet female lead. If you're interested, feel free to check it out in my collection!) ]
Shen Taotao, the daughter of a fifth-rank official, is married into the Song family, the Duke of Fuguo's household, as a pawn for her father's ambitions.
Song Ting, the legitimate son of the Song family, is sickly. He spends nine days out of every ten steeped in medicine, and lies down more often than he stands.
Shen Taotao spends ten years as a widow in all but name. Just when she finally sees Song Ting die of illness, his family conspires to kill her before his coffin.
She closes her eyes and opens them again, back at age fifteen, just as the Song family's betrothal gifts arrive at the Shen residence.
Seeing that her scumbag father is about to sell her off again, Shen Taotao steals the horse pulling the gifts and gallops all the way to the palace to take the examination for female court officials.
Shen Taotao: Isn't becoming an official better than marrying a lousy man?
*
Song Ting, heir to the Duke of Fuguo, pretended to be ill so he could serve the Crown Prince as a lifelong weapon and escape the Song family, rotten to the core.
After spending most of his life scrabbling for power, he reaches the end with no children, no family, and no ties.
One snowy night, he gets drunk and finds himself back at the time when he arranged to marry Shen.
Remembering the ten years of youth and the life Shen had sacrificed in his previous life, Song Ting feels a rare flicker of guilt. He decides to marry her again and make up for what he owes her.
Song Ting: Prepare the betrothal gifts to the same standard as those for a princess.
Servant: Young Master, Miss Shen has run away!
Servant: Young Master, Miss Shen passed the examination to become a female court official!
Servant: Young Master, Miss Shen asked me to tell you that she won't marry you!
[The Daily Life of a Black-Hearted Man Trying to Win His Wife Back]
Reader's guide:
1. One-on-one romance, both leads are chaste, and both are reborn.
2. The setting is very loosely based on history. Very loosely.
3. Updated daily at 9 a.m.
4. The male lead spends the early part of the story constantly imagining that the female lead is in love with him.

[The next story is now underway] The Usurping Prince's Soft White Moonlight. If you like it, please add it to your collection~
A waking dream while waiting for her beloved shows Shen Tangyin, the pearl of the Chancellor's household, how her life will end.
After using her to ascend the throne, the Crown Prince, who has always treated her with great kindness, will have her entire family executed and make her drink a cup of poisoned wine.
Terrified by the gruesome scene in her dream, Shen Tangyin weeps as she boards the carriage home.
At the palace gate, the horses panic and nearly trample the neglected Seventh Prince, Li Ronghui, to death.
Shen Tangyin steps down from her carriage and sees him, the solitary and ill-tempered prince of the rumors, lying lifeless in the rain, a pool of red spreading beneath him.
Between life and death, Shen Tangyin reaches out with trembling hands and helps him up.
She never expected that this single act would save the Shen family amid the storms to come, raise up a future emperor, and lead her into the trap he had carefully laid.
*
Rumor has it that the current emperor, Li Ronghui, was born to a palace maid of low status. To seize the realm, he killed his brothers, usurped the throne, and crushed the Eastern Palace. He is a ruthless monster.
What the world does not know is that above the steps, he stares at a portrait until his eyes are red and his hair turns white overnight.
Reborn on the day they first met, he doesn't even wait for his wicked servant to act. He lies down on the path Shen Tangyin must take out of the palace.
When the carriage carrying her approaches, he slashes open the skin at his waist.
Blood splashes in front of her carriage, spooking her horse.
At last, he sees the moonlight from his memories trembling as she steps down from the carriage, like a startled white rabbit.
Li Ronghui lies on the ground, quietly waiting for his white rabbit to come to him, step by step into the trap he's laid.
To be trapped there for the rest of her life.
A sweet, gentle beauty like a white rabbit x A sickly, obsessive prince

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that I can't bear to leave Taotao
Yesterday I was searching for articles and saw the article "The Bird in the Cage of a Sick Powerful Minister", which was exactly what I liked. I immediately went to check out the author's other articles and finished reading Black Heart Lotus in one day. Well, the writing style is really good, and it looks very relaxed. It is my favorite type of writing. I am very happy to read good articles in the future, and I will never let go of the author. There is a fly in the ointment, the article is a bit childish. How can a female official be able to walk around in the palace? Concubine Li still needs to go to the cold palace to meet men privately? It would be better to be more rigorous and consistent with common sense. Looking forward to the conclusion of the article, I really like the copywriting
Hiss... Falsely spreading an imperial edict is a capital crime, right? How can this be saved? All I can think of is that the new emperor will ascend the throne and grant amnesty to the world hhhhh
After you save me, I will save you hahaha () Waiting for a girl's highlight moment (x
Beautifully written!
My wife's writing style is really good. It's neither exaggerated nor too plain. It's like writing a couple's heart-stirring diary and daily love life. Ahhhhhhh, come on, ma'am.
Throw flowers! ! The writing style is really good... I really like this style of writing
The fertilizer that has been raised for a long time is finally spread out
It's over, it feels too fast
It's a pity that no one rebelled and killed the emperor (/.\)
Thank you for your hard work! Cheers for the next book (*`ω?)
