Demi-humans are defective clones, universally regarded as useless by the Alliance. In the name of “humanitarianism,” the Alliance “mercifully eliminates” these flawed products before they develop self-awareness. That is, until, during another Alliance Guard training test, Wu Xie, the young master of the Wu family of the Old Nine Gates and one of the next generation of Alliance successors, happens upon a mysterious demi-human who cannot speak. From then on, his life becomes shrouded in mystery. Who is this demi-human, really? Why can’t anyone find a genetic match for him? Why are half of his biological genes identical to those of the Zongzi? He knows next to nothing about human life. With Wu Xie’s special status, will taking him in bring good fortune or disaster?
A new wine in an old bottle. I’m finishing everything I never got around to completing back then.
One-on-one, happy ending, lots of liberties taken with the original setting, and an out-of-character warning.
Theme: Everyone is equal; live in peace and friendship.
