Aina is a dragon who has yet to hatch, and the last dragon on the continent of Kari.
Ten thousand years ago, invaders from another race attacked the continent of Kari, slaughtering indiscriminately and leaving its people in ruin. The dragons united their entire race and drove the invaders beyond the world. Gravely wounded, and to prevent the invaders from returning, the dragons sacrificed themselves to the world. They raised a sturdy barrier beyond the continent, their bodies becoming the focal points that sustained it and held back the invaders.
Before sacrificing themselves, the dragon elders sent the unhatched Aina into a barrier they had created.
Ten thousand years later, Aina hatched.

The male lead, Cyril, is an elven prince. The elves have lived in Mill Forest for generations, and are tasked with guarding the remains of the dragon elders. One day, the dragon bones suddenly began to behave strangely. The elven elders divined that something had happened to the barrier, so they ordered Cyril to investigate the disturbance.
When Cyril first met the heroine, he thought: Her origins are unknown, and her power is mysterious. She must be a spy for the invaders. I should alert my people and deal with her carefully.
