Giorno had been my desk mate all through elementary and middle school. In my first year of high school, after once again confirming my ill-fated connection with Giorno, I asked the teacher to move my seat while he watched me calmly.
Excerpt 2:
I remembered that not long after I first became Giorno's desk mate in elementary school, I saw him cornered and bullied by a group of kids in a secluded part of the school. I didn't have enough of a sense of justice to intervene, so I watched coldly. But just as I was about to leave, the kids spotted me and all ran off as if terrified.
I said to Giorno, who had gotten back to his feet, "I wasn't going to help you."
He nodded and said, "I know."
