Why Is Senior Brother So Cold?

[Updates whenever inspiration strikes] Jiang Yangui has always believed in repaying every slight. After his master died, he followed his master's last words and took a sword to Tianyan Mountain, hiding his identity as he sought a chance to kill its sect leader and avenge his master.

There, he met Ye Lingqiu, the disguised senior disciple. Jiang came up with a plan and deliberately befriended him, but Ye seemed completely unmoved and never gave him the time of day.

After several failed attempts, Jiang decided he was done trying to win over someone who wouldn't give him the time of day. He simply left. But when they met again...

When they encountered a demon beast, Ye Lingqiu frowned. "Little immortal friend, hide behind me, quick!"

Jiang Yangui, who had already killed three demon beasts: ...

When Ye Lingqiu was punished by his master, he knelt with his back straight. "It's only because my little junior brother is too kindhearted that he was framed by a villain."

Jiang Yangui, who had just slipped a laxative to the sect leader: ...

When his martial uncles tried to arrange a match for Jiang Yangui, Ye Lingqiu said gravely, "Little junior brother, choose your cultivation partner carefully. You need to make sure no one in their family has done evil for three generations."

Later, Jiang Yangui's identity was exposed. He thought Ye Lingqiu would hate him for sure, but instead...

Ye Lingqiu: "Little junior brother, when choosing a cultivation partner, would you mind their family background? What if our families have been enemies for generations?"

One-on-one romance. Probably not angsty. The love interest becomes stronger later on!!

A proud, unruly recipient with a demonic seed, who always gets revenge for every grudge x a righteous, principled giver as radiant as the wind and moon, who favors only one person.

A progression-style cultivation novel. The pacing is quite fast, so this probably won't be long. Many details are author-created, and the characters will begin cultivating in new locations in the middle and later parts!

Theme: Hold firm to your convictions, remain neither servile nor arrogant, and stay on the righteous path.
