Getting Rich by Farming in the 1980s

Lin Qian awakens a wood-type ability in the apocalypse and specializes in supplying fresh green vegetables to the survivors' base. She thinks she can scrape by like this for the rest of her life, but then a zombie horde attacks, the base is in imminent danger, and Lin Qian dies while fleeing.

When she opens her eyes again, Lin Qian finds that everything around her has changed. There are no zombies or ruined buildings in sight, only lush mountains and clear waters, and vast fields of fertile land. She has transmigrated into the body of an obscure woman in the 1980s who happens to share her name.

Her birth parents are both dead, leaving behind only her overworked, frail grandmother. The two of them get by in a pair of mud-brick houses, making theirs the poorest family in the village.

Poor? What's so bad about being poor? Having money but no life left to spend it is what's really scary.

Having lived through the hopeless days of the apocalypse, Lin Qian treasures the hard-won peace of her new life. Even more exciting, she discovers that her wood-type ability hasn't disappeared.

With her ability's help, the fruits and vegetables Lin Qian grows are exceptional in both yield and quality. They taste delicious, bursting with the aroma of fresh fruit, and are one of a kind in the village.

Everyone watches as Lin Qian cures her grandmother's illness by growing vegetables, builds a new house, and wonders: When did that quiet girl from the Lin family, the one nobody ever noticed, become so good at growing vegetables?

While everyone is still wondering, Lin Qian has already gone into business with a partner, launched a fresh produce brand, and rented land. She ships her homegrown vegetables all over the country, becomes rich, and makes the national list of the wealthiest people. She's no longer the obscure village girl everyone looked down on for being poor.
