[Western Crossover] A Far from Ideal Utopia

"Christa, don't cry... Look at me..." Her teacher sighed at her. "We're in the middle of a war. Death is unavoidable. Useless crying and suffering will only get more of our comrades killed." Christa Green always remembered what her teacher, Isabel Black, had said to her on the day her mother died. She remembered Isabel's words throughout the next twelve years, and through the seven years after Isabel's death. The fleeting peace lasted just one year. Then came the Federation Civil War, followed by the return of Thanos. Was this the ideal world her elders had hoped for? A government full of scheming, a chaotic civil war, and a planet beset by problems at home and abroad. How had her teacher managed to survive? Christa scoffed amid her busy government work. Greed, cruelty, and malice: the ugly face of postwar peace was laid bare before her. But this was a peace forged with the lives of countless elders. Christa had to defend it. She was the first and last President of the Earth Federation. "I pray to the eternal Holy Grail. I ask you to unite this shore and the other shore, and let the flame of hope burn in a distant land." tips: 1. This should be a sequel to Give Up Already, or perhaps a story running parallel to it. I recommend reading it alongside the trilogy. 2. The story begins in Year 23 of the Postwar Era and ends in New Year 10. As the blurb suggests, this is my take on the Holy Grail War. 3. The preceding story is [Western Crossover] Just Give Up Already, currently updating. Visit the author's profile for details. Premise: You cannot hand this world over to those you despise.
