Some people are top students at Todai and the pride of their middle school on the surface, but are actually mixed up in the underworld.

Even though Imai Shizuku could have made a living with her looks, skills, or education, she insisted on becoming a Port Mafia office drone, working around the clock.

For five years, her boss, Nakahara Chuuya, kept telling her that she wasn't cut out for the underworld and urging her to leave. In the end, he simply kicked her over to the Namimori branch, which was on the verge of shutting down, effectively firing her.

Back at her hometown of Namimori, she planned to give it one more try and put up some impressive numbers so she could transfer back to the Port Mafia. But the night before she resolved to negotiate with the Discipline Foundation, the company's boss had her kidnapped out of the blue, then tossed her a stack of money and told her to quit the underworld???

So she decided to stay in Namimori and make big money. She followed Aunt Saiki's arrangements and went on blind dates, and even ran into her old colleague Akashi, who had built himself up from nothing to become a giant in the food industry. Clinging to the big shot's coattails, she felt her bad luck had finally run out.

Next, she would probably take her little brother and reach the pinnacle of life.
