[Prince of Tennis/TsukaSachi] God's Child Dances on Ice

I will take your future from you.

--Yukimura Seiichi to Tezuka Kunimitsu

*

In the Warring States period, the third year of Eiroku. War raged everywhere, and the people suffered.

Tezuka Kunimitsu, trusted disciple of Oda Nobunaga, the great lord of Owari, fell into the hands of Yukimura Seiichi, a new commander in Imagawa Yoshimoto's army, renowned for his courage and cunning.

Amid a battlefield piled high with corpses, a youth stood in armor, his purple hair and white robes untouched by dust. His crown was set, his sleeves fluttered, and he seemed to hold the moon and all beneath heaven in his grasp.

The youth knelt before Tezuka. The cold tip of his blade pressed against the man's throat, forcing that cool, unyielding face to lift.

Tezuka's gaze fell on the youth's unfathomably deep eyes.

War had always been a bloody gamble.

Tezuka closed his eyes. "I accept the consequences of my loss."

Death was all that awaited him.

But the man withdrew his blade, his expression gentle, and chuckled.

"I don't want you dead."
