This is a fanfiction based on The Legend of Sword and Fairy, starring Li Yiru. It follows her journey from a pampered princess treasured by everyone around her to the Spirit-Taming Princess of the Divine Realm. The story follows on from The Legend of Sword and Fairy II and draws on the single-player games throughout the series, including Sword and Fairy Inn, as well as the backstory of the online game Sword and Fairy Online that circulated on the internet in 2001. It also has some overlap with the version of Sword and Fairy Online familiar to readers today.
Li Yiru has a unique identity. In a nutshell, she is the protector of mortals, though few remember her. She is the leader of the Heavenly Ghost clan, yet lives in the splendid land of China. She is the daughter of a sword immortal, yet cannot wield a flying sword. She is friends with a host of demons, yet knows little about them. She is a princess of the Divine Realm, yet has never set foot in the Heavenly Palace. She is the sister of the Demon Lord, yet has slain countless evil demons. She has no fiery hair or serpent’s tail, yet she is a descendant of Nuwa.
Zhao Ling’er’s fleeting appearance and Li Xiaoyao’s grievous injuries send Li Yiru on a quest to recover the Sacred Spirit Pearl. Just then, the Shu Mountain disciple Jing Nianyao comes to visit, taking the first step toward accompanying Li Yiru for the rest of her life. But unexpected complications arise in both the search for the Sacred Spirit Pearl and what follows. Along with her elders and companions, Li Yiru faces the fate that generations of the Nuwa clan have struggled to escape, only to discover that this so-called destiny is nothing more than a conspiracy centuries in the making...

This is the sequel to Fairy Sword 1, I guess. I haven't seen Fairy Sword 2, but I've only watched Part 1, 3 and 4.
