[DC] A.K.’s Diary

Check out my profile for hidden gems

This is A.K., the Arkham Knight, Jason Todd.

“Why does a child quietly soak his pillow with tears in the long night, never letting that old wrench leave his side?

Who knocks on the glass in the sleepless night? A cape billows in the night wind like a black lily.

Green is madness and pain. A muddy laugh pierces the eardrums.

A mushroom cloud rises, wailing, and the vengeful robin returns to the darkness.

Gunshots and smoke replace bright colors.

A familiar face beneath a mask shatters every defense.

Waiting for someone who is always late, waiting for a blow to the face that will never be late.”

Jason murmured.

“Umm...” The little birds of the Bat Family huddled together, trembling. “Is Jason going crazy again?”

“Going crazy?” Jason smiled. “I've always been crazy.”

A heavy cape descended from above and wrapped him up completely.

Batman helplessly tucked Jason's struggling head back against his chest, then drew the cape tight to shut out the biting wind atop Wayne Tower. “Out here in the wind again? Aren't you the one who's always cold?”

“...Because I knew you'd come.” Jason whispered.

His face, tucked between the cape and Batman's chest, turned red.

Bonus scene:

Joker: Dear Knight, let's go blow up the Bat~

Jason: Wait for me. I'll go grab the minigun.

Batman: (stares) Jason, are you sure?

Jason: ...

Jason: Eat minigun fire, Joker!! Rat-a-tat-tat-tat!

The main story has no romance. It is told from the top's perspective. I'm into Jason with everyone.

Theme: What if the Arkham Knight version of Jason had another possibility?
