Draco once believed he was the pride of his family, that he could lead the Malfoy name to its greatest heights just like his father.
Later, when he saw his parents forced to kneel and serve that man, and his family slowly crumbling, Draco realized he had long been trapped in a quagmire with nowhere to turn.
He was cowardly, weak, and indecisive. Like a useless burden, he dragged down the Malfoy family, already on its last legs. He disgraced Slytherin pride, hiding under other people's protection like a rat while taking their help for granted. It was only at the very end that Draco realized he had been alone all along. How utterly tragic.
Five years after the great battle, a magical mishap sent Draco back a thousand years, where he became one of Hogwarts' first students. The course of fate began to change. What would Draco change?
Reader's note:
1. This is a long story, and I don't have a contract. I'm about to start my final year of high school, so updates will come whenever I feel like it, when inspiration strikes, or during long breaks.
2. I've forgotten most of the original book and watched the movies instead. I'll be reading the original as I update, so please point out any mistakes.
3. Please don't criticize my writing style. The author has a tender heart. I'll consider and reply to criticism about the content or structure.
4. There are no absolute villains or heroes in this story. No whitewashing or demonizing. Can't all four houses just get along?
