At first, Lin Yan's goal was simple: stop the heroine from turning evil and keep the plane stable.
Later, her colleagues all said she was a heartless woman who toyed with people's feelings.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. That heroine from the cultivation plane is so pitiful. Lin Yan tricked her into thinking she'd meet someone once she ascended. She's undergone three tribulations and endured all thirty-six bolts of heavenly lightning without giving up. Just how strong must her obsession be?"
No one knew that Wanqi Yu couldn't successfully ascend because Lin Yan had tampered with things.
The System asked Lin Yan, "What if she fails to ascend and turns evil instead?"
Lin Yan lowered her eyes to the red thread around her wrist, the one she could never get rid of. Her voice was languid. "She'll turn evil if she succeeds in ascending."
The System didn't understand, and Lin Yan couldn't be bothered to explain.
Lin Yan was a liar. Wanqi Yu discovered this by chance after breaking through the suppression of the divine ring, and she went to great lengths to find the liar.
Seeing the disbelief in Lin Yan's eyes, Wanqi Yu smiled with delight.
"Where are you planning to run this time? How are you going to lie to me now?"
Lin Yan muttered, "This is unbelievable," then turned and ran.
Wanqi Yu narrowed her eyes, her expression darkening.
"Lin Yan, you can't escape."
And in the end, Lin Yan really couldn't get away. She brought Wanqi Yu in front of her colleagues. "There, this is my girlfriend. I'm not a heartless woman."
Wanqi Yu gave everyone a "kind" smile.
