One rainy day, Wen Ruqing meets a very special Omega. Even though they're both Omegas, this Omega's intoxicating pheromones nearly trigger Wen Ruqing's heat on their first meeting.

The second time they meet, the Omega moves into her home.

Later, they adopt a cat, and the two of them and the cat live happily together. But whenever Xu Xinran goes into heat, Wen Ruqing quietly slips away. She doesn't want Xu Xinran to know that she's addicted to her pheromones, and that they trigger Wen Ruqing's heat at the same time.

One night, as the first snow falls, Wen Ruqing receives the first confession from an Omega in her life. The Omega before her, six years younger, says, word by word, "Sister Wen, I like you."

After a long silence, Wen Ruqing hears herself say, "Xinran, we're both Omegas. This can't work."

After that night, Xu Xinran disappears from her world.

Five years later, Wen Ruqing sees Xu Xinran again at a banquet. The new president of the Xu Group is dressed in a custom-made gown, beautiful and elegant, her arm linked with an Alpha's. They look utterly intimate.

That day, Wen Ruqing gets drunk at a banquet for the first time. In her hazy consciousness, someone wraps an arm around her waist. The familiar scent of orange pheromones lingers at the tip of her nose, and the moment Wen Ruqing catches that scent, her own pheromones begin to pour from the back of her neck.

The person holds her close and whispers with a soft laugh, "Sister Wen, your pheromones are saying you miss me."
