What's it like to fall for your sworn enemy? Probably wanting to kill him, and wanting to "do" him to death.
Li Muyang had no idea when he started caring about Xiang Ye. They'd lived across the hall from each other as kids, and ever since Li Muyang started school, his mom had held Xiang Ye up as the perfect, well-rounded imaginary rival.
Sadly, the formidable rival who occupied such an important place in his heart had never seemed to notice him at all. The guy strutted around like he owned the place, showing off like a peacock with its tail fanned out. He could even make a plain white shirt look dazzling.
Li Muyang couldn't stand him, but he didn't dare challenge him to his face. His mom's fists weren't made of cotton, after all, so he just secretly nicknamed him "Peacock" behind his back.
So when Li Muyang accidentally walked in on Xiang Ye sleeping naked at home and had a physical reaction, he couldn't make heads or tails of it.
He scoured the internet, combed through all kinds of material, and spent three days holed up in the library, hoping to find some clue in the books that would help him rationalize his behavior. Unfortunately, he came up empty-handed.
After moping for a few days, he came up with a half-baked excuse: he'd been gaming too much and needed to quit the internet for a while!
