[Synopsis]

To give Han Muzhao's modeling career a boost, her agent gets her a spot on a cohabitation reality show. The theme is a group of male and female entertainers living together in a mixed dorm.

On the day of filming, Han Muzhao arrives first. She has just carried her luggage up to the second floor when she hears someone knocking downstairs. She runs down to open the door, and the moment she looks up, her eyes meet Kwon Ji Yong's as he stands in the doorway.

Question: What's it like to appear on a cohabitation reality show with your ex-boyfriend?

Han Muzhao: Thanks for asking. Basically, it's incredibly awkward. The kind where you pretend not to know each other with your life on the line.

When we first met as teenagers, neither of us knew what love was. Only after everything had passed and we looked back did we realize that the best person had been right beside us all along.

The heroine is a supermodel, age 24. The hero is a major star, age 29.

Important notes and warnings

1. The heroine is of mixed Chinese and Korean heritage and grew up in New Zealand. She is not based on a real person. At the beginning she's a model, and she becomes a supermodel as her career progresses, so there's nothing wrong with calling her a supermodel in the synopsis. Nitpickers, keep moving. At first she's forced by circumstances to endure and keep quiet; later she stands on her own and her career keeps rising. The career and romance storylines each take up half the story.

2. Sweet romance. Memories will occasionally be interspersed. There is a win-her-back storyline but no agonizingly painful redemption arc. There is no second male lead and the hero isn't put through angst; it's simply a matter of winning her back. Please take note.

3. The setting is entirely fictional. The story begins in 2016. There is no military enlistment plot, which means the superstar in this novel never enlists. All settings and characterizations serve the story.

4. The reality show is Roommates, Season Three. Don't take the fictional plot too seriously.

5. The author isn't a professional in the career-related storyline; it's all based on imagination, so don't nitpick. Respect the author's hard work. If you don't like it, leave. There's no need to leave a mark; that's not decent behavior. No matter what rating you give, I'll respond to you if you pick a fight.

6. Readers who require spotless romantic histories, proceed with caution.

7. Synopsis first written on August 4, 2020. A screenshot has been saved on Weibo.

[Highlighted warning]

8. They broke up because they were both too young. In the years after the breakup, each had other relationships. Both are single when they join the show.

Qi Xing is an idol autograph collector with an absurd number of favorites. Her newest goal is to get Kwon Ji Yong's autograph!

Since she lives in Korea, she has the advantage of time, place, and circumstances, and successfully becomes the first person in line for the signing. She even gets to take a photo with Kwon Ji Yong.

But after the signing ends, she gets separated from the staff member who was taking her to get the photo. She cautiously knocks on each door backstage to ask for directions, but nobody is there.

When she reaches the last waiting room, she tries knocking again and hears someone inside say, "Come in!"

Thinking that she's finally found someone, she happily pushes the door open and sees Kwon Ji Yong changing clothes all by himself!

Kwon Ji Yong: ?

Qi Xing:, o... Wow!!
