Green, an overworked corporate drone in the 23rd century, dies from exhaustion. With his dying breath, he leaves behind one last message:
"Let me... fix... this... bug..."
He never gets to drink Granny Meng's soup. Instead, he opens his eyes again, reborn in a dangerous new world and bound to an emotionless Survival System.
Green: I understand the logic, but why am I a corpse?
To keep his body from rotting and starting to stink, Green works hard to complete the System's missions. One Survival Point buys him one day of preservation.
The Survival System provides Green with all kinds of cards, such as the permanent character card [Jack the Ripper], the ability card [Heal Minor Wounds], and the item card [The Joker's Laughter].
Green: Wait, what is that weird thing doing in there?
Updates whenever inspiration strikes.
A few things to know:
1. Inspiration for the character cards the protagonist uses to change secret identities comes from sources including, but not limited to, the Grimm Brothers' fairy tales, Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales, Mother Goose nursery rhymes, historical facts, and pure imagination. The character card skills and effects are all original.
2. If this story had tags, they'd be Multiple Secret Identities and No Romance. His identities will never be exposed. The protagonist is a literal corpse, chaotic neutral, with secret identities spread across every faction. He himself is an absolute egoist. Whether he's helping superheroes or supervillains, he has no personal allegiance. If you can't accept that, I recommend not opening this story.
3. The protagonist has an extreme personality and simple emotions. He won't make an effort to understand or empathize with anyone, and he certainly won't think things like, "He gave almost everything for this world, so I should understand his paranoia and need for control," or, "This is for everyone's safety, so I can accept being controlled." The protagonist is intensely self-centered and absolutely hates having his privacy snooped on, so he and Batman are fundamentally incompatible. If you can't accept that, I recommend not opening this story either.
4. This world was originally the DC Universe. It only merged with the Marvel Universe to become a combined DC and Marvel universe after the protagonist completed some missions.
5. I write for fun, and I hope people who enjoy my ideas can have fun together. Reading and writing are both about having a good time, so let's not be a bunch of clueless grumps.
(P.S. I just realized that Clueless and Grumpy could also make two character cards.)
-Short scene-
Batman replaces his original heavy suit with a new one made of Kevlar and gets spotted by Green during his nightly patrol.
Green (disgusted): Tight-suit pervert.
Later, Clark changes into a red, blue, and yellow suit made in Krypton and shyly asks Green what he thinks of the outfit.
Green (fondly): It looks great, Clark. It really suits you.
Ah, another day of double standards.
Theme: Who needs a theme? Having fun is enough.
