[Ultraman] Starlight Through the Long Night

It was the night of a meteor shower. EMA, the Japan branch of the Earth Defense Force, detected a meteor falling from the sky and crashing into a forest. When they searched the area, all they found on the ground was a huge crater, shaped like a person.

When Kaze opened his eyes, he was tied up in bandages on a bed. A woman beside him stared at him in a way that sent chills down his spine. What she said nearly stopped his heart:

"An Ultra Warrior from O50? What's your name?"

Kaze was forced to answer every question.

"Ultraman Storrm is one thing, but Kaze is a truly terrible name. From today on, you'll be called Nagi, Nanami Nagi."

Kaze... or rather, Nanami Nagi, was forced to change his name and surname, and then shoved into EMA. He glared at her, wanting only to know what her name was.

"M78 Land of Light, Deputy Director of the Space Science Bureau, Ultraman Wistone." The woman smiled at him. "You can call me Wistone."

A few things to know about this story:

1. The protagonist and other important characters are based to some extent on official Tsuburaya settings, with some original and derivative elements. Any similarities are purely coincidental.

2. This is an informal fan work modeled on Tsuburaya's TV series. Don't worry too much about harmless plot holes; just read for fun.

3. Although the protagonists are all my own UMOCs, familiar Ultramen may make cameo appearances later. That depends on the story.

4. I haven't worked with Japanese culture in years, so I may not remember everything. Please don't nitpick.

5. Please don't be a killjoy. If it's not for you, feel free to leave.

Theme: You can always encounter beautiful things.
