One-line pitch: A System has gone completely haywire. It's forcing the virtuous into prostitution!
Long-winded pitch:
1. "Welcome to the 'Good People Live Long and Prosper' Testing Center. The System will temporarily repair your fractured soul and grant you an initial personal buff..."
The System goes haywire from time to time, like a five-year-old cheerfully giving them "friendly tips" all day long. But those who believed everything it said and those who believed none of it both died. At other times, it's cold and cruel, refusing to reveal even a single rule of the game.
Xi Ke: "So this is what they mean by good people never get rewarded?"
The System chuckled darkly. "Congratulations, you got it right. Too bad there's no prize."
Xi Ke went from shock to delight. "Great! To hell with being a good person!"
The System: "???"
2. Xi Ke thought he was just making a last stand, but was surprised to find that his initial buff was absurdly powerful. It did, however, have a hidden side effect.
One day, while clearing a stage as usual, Xi Ke unexpectedly ran into his ridiculously powerful archenemy.
The System snickered. "The buff's side effect officially takes effect from this moment on."
Xi Ke: "That was terrifying just now. My legs are (not) weak, I can't (don't want to) walk (lose face), so will you carry (kill) me?"
Xiao Ye looked at the people sprawled all over the ground behind him and fell silent.
Xi Ke clung to his leg, crying. "Help! The monster's back!"
Xiao Ye: "Show off and you'll get struck by lightning."
Xi Ke cried inside until he was a complete wreck. Strike me dead, just freaking strike me dead!
