This is an era in which supernatural abilities have vanished and the kindhearted Russians’ dream has come true.
The gangsters, detectives, and troublemakers have all picked up pens and become celebrated literary greats.
So Natsume Soseki proclaims the dawn of a "Golden Age of Literature."
Mori Ogai, chairman of the Port Mafia Cultural Group, spends all day plotting how to poach talent from the Armed Detective Agency Literary Society next door.
The celebrated educator and cat-loving society president is once again annoyed that his portrait is on the ten-thousand-yen bill and that people keep recognizing him on the street.
Poet Chuuya Nakahara gets drunk and beats up his neighbor, Osamu Dazai, landing in the newspaper headlines once again.
Osamu Dazai, Port Mafia executive who doesn’t want to write books and has been threatened with violence by a short, violent dwarf: Wait, the Port Mafia has become a literary organization, our lolicon, scheming boss has abandoned violence for literature, and the violent slug is writing poetry? Weren’t we all supposed to be gangsters together?
Also, I’ll say it again: I am absolutely not that creep who’s obsessed with Akutagawa!
Today, too, Dazai, the only sober one among a bunch of drunks, is being put through the wringer. How delightful.
Warning: Written purely for love. Updates are whenever I feel like it, and I might abandon it. Characters may be OOC, and the plot is made up as I go. Characters from the main universe and the IF universe may make crossover appearances.
Theme: Revitalize literature and save the world.
Update
In my humble opinion, if Dazai Osamu had not confirmed that he was about to die, he would not have published such a semi-autobiographical novel in which all his inner thoughts were revealed.
