The Tang chain of dessert shops is on the brink of collapse and urgently needs an investment.

Tang Baochan turns to Chen Junting, CEO of Jinting Group, for help.

The man has handsome, refined features and a cool expression, but his words leave her stunned: "I'm free tonight. Come find me at the Jinting Hotel."

Tang Baochan's expression changes, and she blurts out, "You... dream on!"

Chen Junting: "..."

That night, Chen Junting is drinking at a bar with his friends when he hears a woman in the booth beside them loudly complaining: "That bastard Chen Junting got the hots for me the first time we met and told me to go to a hotel with him that night. I'd rather starve to death than let him have his way."

Chen Junting walks over to her, his eyes icy. "You've got it wrong. My office is at the Jinting Hotel."

Tang Baochan: "..."

Trying to salvage the situation, Tang Baochan

pesters him relentlessly and follows him into the hotel where he's staying.

Chen Junting gives a soft laugh. "What, you're not afraid I'll take advantage of you anymore?"

Tang Baochan stiffens, then replies awkwardly, "I... dream on."

Chen Junting: "..."

Later, Tang Baochan succeeds in winning the heart of Chen Junting, that icy beauty.

She sighs, "Liking you is the boldest thing I've ever done. Thank goodness I was brave enough to win you over."

Chen Junting smiles. "If I hadn't gone out of my way to create opportunities, do you think you could have succeeded?"

Tang Baochan: "..."

Waaah, why would you say that out loud? Don't I deserve to save face?

Everyone thinks Chen Junting is an emotionless workaholic,

decisive, calm, and self-controlled.

It isn't until he meets Tang Baochan

that he discovers his heart is full of tenderness.

Xu Xiuyan, heir to the Xu Group, is aloof and distinguished, reserved and composed,

the golden boy everyone admires.

As a new employee, Jiang Suxin is content just to admire him from afar,

and doesn't dare hope for anything more.

One day, Jiang Suxin accompanies Xu Xiuyan to meet a business partner.

Xu Xiuyan gets drunk after taking the drinks meant for her.

Jiang Suxin drives him home, but can't wake him.

While he's drunk... she sneaks a kiss.

Afterward, Jiang Suxin keeps feeling that Xu Xiuyan looks at her with a scrutinizing, appraising gaze.

Unable to bear the pressure of feeling like she'd been caught doing something wrong, she can't face Xu Xiuyan anymore

and flees the company as fast as she can.

One day, Xu Xiuyan sees Jiang Suxin on TV, chatting freely with a male guest on a home makeover show,

looking confident and delighted, a smile in her eyes.

The memory of that drunken night comes rushing back:

inside the quiet car, beneath dim, intimate lights,

she had pressed a light kiss to his lips.

Later, Jiang Suxin is sent by her company to meet a client as a smart-home designer,

and discovers that the client is none other than Xu Xiuyan!

To keep her job, she treads carefully, as if walking on thin ice.

After the villa inspection, Jiang Suxin suddenly gets a call from Xu Xiuyan.

His voice on the other end is tinged with drunkenness: "Jiang Suxin, the house is too big. I can't sleep. You're responsible."

Jiang Suxin tentatively asks, "Perhaps you need a voice assistant to play some soothing music?"

"I don't."

"Then... is there anything I can do for you?"

Xu Xiuyan says hoarsely, "I need a lady of the house."
