My next book will be Raising Kids in the Apocalypse. If you're interested, please add it to your reading list. New chapters every night at nine.
The Devil's Mansion is an immersive game developed by the Underworld. All the NPCs are evil ghosts brimming with resentment, and the horror is dialed up to the max. Players who enter are tormented until they're delirious with pleasure and pain, which makes the game an online sensation.
Ye Lanjin is a young Taoist priest. Right after his eighteenth birthday, his unscrupulous master kicked him down the mountain. All he had was the 12.5 yuan left over from yesterday's grocery shopping. He was so broke he had nothing but a handsome face. To make money, he entered The Haunted Mansion and began his journey to riches.
His teammates search for clues while evil ghosts watch from nearby, taunting them and waiting to prey on them.
Before the teammates get tormented:
Ye Lanjin: "There's a ghost here."
Teammates: "Liar! You're a plant hired by the game company!"
Evil ghost: "One of ours? Never heard of him."
After the teammates get tormented:
Ye Lanjin: "Talismans for sale! 200 yuan each, great for exorcising ghosts and warding off evil!"
Teammates: "I'll take one! I'll take one!"
Evil ghost: "Damn it, he's using us to make money! No way we're putting up with this!"
After the evil ghosts get tormented:
Ye Lanjin: "You three, need help crossing over? I guarantee great service at a low price."
The three NPCs stare in confusion...
Ye Lanjin: "As the saying goes, 'Better to live miserably than die, and better to be alive than a ghost...'"
NPCs: "How much?"
Ye Lanjin: "You can't take money with you anyway. Why not give it all to me?"
NPCs: "And you call that a good deal?"
Ye Lanjin flashes the peachwood sword in his hand, making an outright threat.
NPCs...
As soon as The Devil's Mansion launched, it became a huge online hit. The Underworld's revenue kept growing, and they were making a fortune. Yan Jiujun, the King of Hell, was very pleased.
But one day, the Judge came hurrying in to report that the game had a bug. The NPCs guarding the stages had either been robbed or sent to the afterlife, and the culprit was a young Taoist priest.
Yan Jiujun, who had been bored, grew interested. He decided to go see whether the person daring to steal his money had a death wish.
When the little ghosts heard, they immediately started betting on when this despicable robber would get this and that done to him by Yan Jiujun.
In the end, one robber became two...
A crowd of little ghosts: "Can I die one more time..."
A little scene:
When Ye Lanjin scraped his finger, Yan Jiujun immediately leaned in and took it into his mouth.
Ye Lanjin twitched his lips. "I don't think you love me. I think you love my blood."
Yan Jiujun looked up at him, the corners of his eyes red and his gaze misty, as though veiled in gauze.
Ye Lanjin's throat tightened. He said helplessly, "You're going to suck me dry one of these days!"

Blurb for Raising Kids in the Apocalypse:
Yun Huacen was a genius teenager. At just eighteen, he had already earned a doctorate in biomedicine. Unfortunately, he also died of leukemia at eighteen.
When he woke again, he had been reborn in the body of a man with the same name. Strangely, he had not only inherited all the man's memories, but could also foresee everything that was going to happen.
The original owner was a world-renowned biomedical scientist and a complete madman.
When the zombie virus broke out, the original owner used humans as test subjects to research it. After three years, he finally developed a drug that could kill the virus, but on the very day the drug was completed, his "test subjects" devoured him alive.
Looking at the rows of metal cages in the lab and the terrified eyes of the frail children inside, Yun Huacen sighed helplessly. From then on, he began raising kids.
Of course, his "kids" weren't limited to them. There were also two cat people, three dog people, a mutated Chinese cabbage, and two mutated potatoes...
As time passed, the number of his "kids" kept growing, and so did the variety. He had all kinds, from humans to animals to plants.
While everyone else in the apocalypse worried about finding food, he worried about having fish, meat, and vegetables every day.
Yun Huacen: "Cabbage, we're having stir-fried cabbage today."
Cabbage opens its mouth and spits out a head of Chinese cabbage.
Yun Huacen: "Potato, make us some hot and sour shredded potatoes."
Potato squats down and strains, and a potato pops out.
Yun Huacen: "..."
Yun Huacen thought he could live a peaceful life like this, but then he noticed the children around him looking at him differently, with a passion he couldn't handle.
"I treated you like my kids. What do you think of me?"
Theme: Good is rewarded, and evil is punished
Wow, I feel like I'm dealing with the aftermath too
Looking at this development... Bai Hu's divided souls won't be reunited in the end... Right?
Hahahaha, Mr. Yan Jun, the "thief" is still determined.
I finished reading it, it was pretty good, but in the middle I saw Ajun saying he gave up on the common people, and I was really shocked. Fortunately, it was complete.
Relaxed and happy, the process is sour and sweet, very beautiful, Jin has grown up, A Jin and A Jun are consummated
I'll go, even though it was pretty mediocre in the end, it almost made me cry, awesome
Is it over? So reluctant to let go
Dealing with funeral affairs. Gif
