Su Yun nervously approached the Sorting Hat. “Please, please don’t let me be in Gryffindor. Sarah will kill me.”

“Oh, you certainly won’t be sorted into Gryffindor. You belong to Black Lake House,” the Sorting Hat said with great deference.

“Black Lake House? Hogwarts has a house by that name?” McGonagall asked.

“Minerva, anything is possible,” Albus replied.

“Mate, looks like there are still plenty of places at Hogwarts we don’t know about.” George smirked.

“Why wasn’t it mentioned in Hogwarts: A History? Did I miss it?” Hermione wondered, deeply troubled.

“I’m telling my father. Why has the school suddenly got another house? Dumbledore must be behind this.” Draco was torn.

“All right, quiet down. Su, I’m afraid we don’t have a house by that name. You may choose any of the four houses,” the headmaster announced.

“She belongs in Slytherin,” the professor said. “We’d better keep an eye on her. This girl is very strange.”
