The Supernatural Hunter [Reborn]

Before being reborn:

Tu Yue held her cat in one arm and a kitchen knife in the other, cowering on the sofa as she stared at the eerie tentacle emerging from the coffee table's shadow. Gritting her teeth, she hacked at it.

After being reborn:

It was raining inside the mirror. The room grew damp, tentacles reached out from the furniture's shadows, and a dress spun around by itself inside the wardrobe. The living room was empty. The cat crouched on the sofa, fur bristling as it let out a piercing wail.

Tu Yue was cooking in the kitchen. Without even looking back, she flung a kitchen knife, pinning the tentacle reaching out of the shadows to the floor.

Carrying out a bowl of food for the cat, Tu Yue stepped on the trembling tentacle and crushed it into dust. Then she gently beckoned to her cat. "Niannian, come eat your fish belly rice~"

Core message: Never give up hope.
