Ke Jianian is a rich second-generation student who is terrible at school. In the villa next door lives his sworn enemy, Xie Yuanqing: aloof, devious, and a top-level genius who surpasses every prodigy. He's a favorite of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and has loved tormenting Ke Jianian with all kinds of bizarre tricks since they were kids.
He uses drones to catch him skipping class, blows up the school and destroys computers, and posts the failing report cards Ke Jianian hid for everyone to see, among other things.
Ke Jianian refuses to lose and tries every way he can think of to get back at Xie Yuanqing.

One day, he goes to pick a fight as usual. In the middle of it, the world undergoes global evolution, and his pheromones go haywire. He suddenly goes into heat. When he wakes up, he discovers he's differentiated into an Omega and been deeply marked by Xie Yuanqing, who has differentiated into an Alpha.
They're both covered in bite marks. They stare at each other.
