The bookstore had lost more than half of its modern novels and poetry collections. As she gazed at the empty shelves labeled Modern Literature, a long-forgotten unease began to creep over her. Faced with Teacher Shiga's explanation, Miss Akutagawa wanted to draw her sword. Now and then, she would find herself thinking of forcing everyone back onto the literary path by threatening them with violence, then enticing them to keep going. After witnessing the light in you, exhausted from running through countless hardships but never giving up, I chose to move forward by your side.
