[Long live our empress, long live, long live!]
At the end of the Liang Dynasty, Emperor Liang was obsessed with the Dao and devoted himself to seeking immortality.
He spent vast amounts of manpower and resources building Daoist temples, abducted young women, and had thousands of Daoist priests perform rituals all day long.
The people were destitute, and public discontent ran high.
A seed of rebellion to support the royal house was quietly planted, growing strong in the darkness...
The Di Rong broke through the pass, Dingguan fell, Marquis Wei died in battle, and more news arrived from the northern frontier...
How long could the peace in the Daoist temple last?
"A Tong! Wait for me!"
"Okay."
"An'an, be good, don't cry. Finish this candy, and you'll find Big Sister Tong!"
"An... Your Majesty, King Wei, I pledge to protect you and make you empress!"
"Long live our empress, long live, long live!"
