[The story goes badly off the rails in the middle and later sections. Read with caution, and leave in time.]
Liu Sui died of an illness. He never expected that after closing his eyes, he would come back to life as a sickly man with the same name.
This new body was even sicker than his old one. He could not walk, was sensitive to light and wind, and spent all day wrapped up like a dumpling, lying in a wheelchair. Most importantly, he was a supporting character destined to die young in a Mary Sue novel.
The protagonist of the book was his younger sister, Liu Ye, hailed as the most beautiful woman under heaven. According to the plot, after her family is destroyed and she is hunted down, Liu Ye has no choice but to take her frail older brother to seek refuge at the Peerless Sword Manor, where her fiancé Gu Yiqing lives. There, she meets and befriends a host of handsome martial artists, experiences the full gamut of love and hate, and ultimately finds happiness.
In this book, Liu Sui is the ultimate plot device. Many disasters begin because of him, his sister suffers undeservedly for his sake, and everyone except Liu Ye hates him.
Knowing he would not live long, Liu Sui simply gave up struggling once he learned the plot. He took each day as it came and cherished those he was lucky enough to meet.
"Cough, cough... I'm someone who is destined to die. You don't need to worry about me." He smiled weakly.
Unexpectedly, the male lead, Gu Yiqing, clasped his hand, tears in his eyes. "Don't die. You can't die."
Everyone wept and begged him not to die.
A stunningly beautiful recipient, with plenty of unrequited admirers (I'll come clean: it's a brainless Mary Sue story). The love interest is not the original male lead.
Coming soon: The Shonen Manga Protagonist Is a Delicate Little Thing
Blurb:
Yan Wushu is a corporate drone: beautiful, delicate, and uninterested in conflict. He works diligently and lives sensibly. His lifelong goals are to eat well, sleep well, and have world peace.
One day, for no apparent reason, he transmigrates into a hot-blooded shonen manga protagonist who shares his name.
In the manga, Yan Wushu was an unremarkable male college student who awakened a supernatural ability through a twist of fate. Just then, a man with an ability of his own appeared in his home and told Luo Wushu that he was the last heir of the foremost supernatural family, and that his ability was one of the most powerful in the world.
He was also the family's last head, burdened with the task of restoring its former glory.
Of course, the laid-back Yan Wushu refuses. He is then threatened with being killed and usurped if he does not take the position.
Under threat of death, Yan Wushu says, "O-okay..." QAQ
Everyone wants the title of head of the foremost supernatural family. From then on, Yan Wushu has to face challenges from battle-crazed people every day (and gets beaten to a pulp).
The haughty campus heartthrob looks down at him. "You can't even block one of my moves, and you're the head of the foremost supernatural family?"
Covered in bruises, Yan Wushu lowers his head and holds his injuries. "..." QAQ Endure it.
The brilliant lawyer, whose true strength is hidden, gives him a cold glance. "The weak have no right to stand here."
Restrained high above the ground, with rope marks covering his body and struggling to breathe, Yan Wushu thinks, "..." QAQ I'll endure a little longer.
The fearsome man known as the Heaven's Scourge grips him by the throat. "I'll temper my sword with your blood. At least that way, you'll be useful as scrap."
Yan Wushu, his face pale after being bled, thinks, "..." QAQ Endure, endure... I can't take it anymore! "Waaah!" Yan Wushu bursts into tears, feeling utterly wronged.
His sobs make everyone panic.
Later, the people who had beaten him fight one another as they compete to beg his forgiveness.
"I'm sorry, darling! I shouldn't have laid a hand on you! Please, hit me back!"
A battle-crazed, straight male love interest, sliced from one person into many, and his beautiful spouse, in a brainless wish-fulfillment harem story about the rush of beating your wife and the struggle to win her back.
Theme: Keep your heart turned toward the light; life is priceless.
The second brush is still pretty good. It's a pity that there is no extra story
A lot of things were hurriedly concluded without being explained clearly, and there were no extra chapters, so it was a bit confusing. But the overall review is still good.
It just feels a bit rushed.
The ending made me feel like I was slamming on the brakes!
Alas, it's over. I feel like I haven't seen enough.
It ended too hastily. Help.
Finished spreading flowers. I want to watch the extra episode. Woohoo.
Charming beauty gets yyds!!!
Great writing! It would be nice if there were more QAQ
It's too much for my liking, I didn't get enough of it
