Leiteye's nights are a textbook sample of a Gotham loser.
She has no home and nowhere to go. Smoking, fighting, drinking, she's done it all.
In the dead of night, she can only lie flat along the edge of a high-rise rooftop and drink. One leg, wrapped in trousers and a tall boot, swings over the railing in midair. The cold wind clears her head enough to remind her to send the idiot causing trouble on her turf to jail, before she repeats the trip back to the rooftop and watches, from the corner of her eye, as the warm light visible through the curtains in the opposite building goes out.
Leiteye takes a swig and thinks:
Well, another day has passed.
She's a mutant, an artificial mutant caught between humans and mutants.
Faced with kindness and malice that are both completely unfamiliar, she'd rather spend her days keeping watch over the candlelight of her memories.
But how long can that little flame last?

"The Radiation Building"
In Gotham, this name refers to an urban legend.
They say that an ordinary-looking office building emits a special ray that disables criminals within a certain radius. The area exposed to the ray has an eerie record of zero deaths in Gotham, a city with an unrelentingly high crime rate.
The apartments across from the building have become eye-wateringly expensive, though that has a great deal to do with the longtime residents' refusal to leave.
As time went on, this urban legend, older than the "Bat Freak," drew more and more attention.
