1. As the youngest daughter of the City Lord of Yongzhou, Ning Chacha was doted on by her father and loved by her mother from the time she was little. She had four older brothers who spoiled her rotten, and she was as adorable as a little doll. By the age of three, she had earned the title of Yongzhou City's Number One Heiress.
One day, Ning Chacha fell ill. An ethereal-looking immortal arrived at the City Lord's residence and declared that she had a grave illness, possibly an incurable one.
Ning Chacha's mother: "Waaaah!"
Ning Chacha's father: "Is there any way to treat her?"
Immortal (fraud?): "Only cultivation can extend her life."
Ning Chacha, patting her round little belly: (I really did just eat a few too many lamb skewers last night.)
2. Because of a helping of lamb skewers, eight-year-old Ning Chacha was forced to end her carefree life. Carrying a heavy storage bag even bigger than she was, she followed the immortal (charlatan?) to the Alliance of Immortals. The little heiress, far from home, finally saw how hard life in an immortal sect could be.
Hardship 1: The people of the immortal sect didn't even have carriages when they went out to exterminate demons. They relied on a shabby sword that offered no shelter from sun or rain.
Ning Chacha, holding a parasol: I have plenty of magical treasures. Do I really have to go demon hunting and treasure seeking? I'm not very interested.
Hardship 2: The senior brothers and sisters of the Alliance of Immortals drank only spiritual dew for all three meals. They couldn't even get a bite of meat.
Ning Chacha, happily stuffing her face: The spiritual fish in the pond behind the mountain are delicious. Do you not know how to make spicy boiled fish?
3. Her senior brothers and sisters took her out on an adventure. They encountered a demon beast with powerful magic, and her senior brother shielded her. "Don't be afraid, Chacha. I'll protect you."
With that, the beast bit off his arm.
Ning Chacha was sprayed in the face with blood. She casually pulled a magical artifact out of her storage bag and hurled it at the beast, killing it instantly.
Her senior brothers and sisters: ???
Ning Chacha modestly waved her hand. "Just a little trinket."
She couldn't figure it out either. A beast that could be dealt with using a Berserk Pill costing just ninety thousand spirit stones, so why did her senior brothers and sisters have to struggle so hard to kill it? After thinking it over, she figured it was probably because they were poor.
4. One day, the disciples of the immortal sect went on an adventure to the Black Demon Sea. Her senior brothers and sisters took the lead while Ning Chacha leisurely ate an ice cream under her parasol. Their immortal ferry was caught in a storm and lost its way. Ning Chacha was swept beneath the sea, where she discovered a great demon bound in chains.
The great demon licked his lips, his eyes blood-red, looking ready to devour a hundred adorable little girls just like her.
Ning Chacha trembled in fear.
Great demon: "Child, come here."
Ning Chacha shook her head in terror.
Great demon: "Give me a taste of that pink thing in your hand."
Ning Chacha dropped her ice cream and ran on her short little legs.
Once she was safe, she told the senior brother who led the sect about the great demon she'd encountered. To her surprise, he said solemnly, "Chacha, that wasn't a demon. That was our grandmaster, Ning Wuye, cultivating in seclusion in the Black Demon Sea."
Ning Chacha: "..."
Oh, so this sect had been poor since its very founding. Even its several-thousand-year-old grandmaster liked stealing ice cream from children.
What a pitiful sect.
Theme: A demon reforms and takes care of a child.
