At the bank of the Bridge of Helplessness, at the end of the River of Forgetfulness, at the boundary where the living and the dead meet, there stands a "House of Love and Pleasure" called the Eastern Pavilion.
Though it's called a "House of Love and Pleasure," it receives only one guest each night. The rich and powerful are willing to spend their entire fortunes just to enjoy a night there. The price for a place at the Eastern Pavilion rises every night. At its highest, it reached ten thousand taels of silver, yet the wealthy still spend everything they have in hopes of experiencing it once.
At the third quarter of the midnight hour, the final winner is taken away in a bone boat. It ferries them across the Eight Sorrows River of Forgetfulness and docks at the Eastern Pavilion. The gates swing open, and the scent of rouge washes over them. Beauties surge out like a tide, surrounding the guest. Anyone, human or demon, would lose all sense of where they were at the sight.
Theme: A love that shakes heaven and earth and makes ghosts weep.
