2024.8.2:
Thank you to all the readers here for waiting eighteen months. The college entrance exams are over. It was a bumpy ride, but the final admissions result was pretty good. I'm now an incoming student at ZJU.
The Potter Girl of Spinner's End will continue, and I'll keep updating it here. However, I will be rewriting the entire story. The rewritten version will be titled The Long Road to Healing, and the relaunched version can be found on my author page. I'll leave this version exactly as it is, as a memento of my writing journey.
Spinner's End will be my only long Harry Potter fanfic. For now, I see it entirely as a writing exercise, and that's the most important thing. If it can also make my readers happy, that's a privilege. I will finish it eventually, but I don't know how long that will take. Maybe four years, maybe six, maybe eight, maybe ten. As long as I'm not satisfied, I'll keep revising it. As I grow older, I might tear things down and rebuild them over and over. This is the first time.
Here's the original version's synopsis:
The fearsome Dark Lord Voldemort suddenly vanishes without a trace overnight, and Haria Potter becomes the girl who lived. Dumbledore, headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, places the girl with her only surviving relatives, the Dursleys.
When she is seven, a greasy-haired man in black with a hooked nose arrives quietly, takes Haria to live at Spinner's End, and opens the door to the magical world for her.
By the time she is eleven, the girl has already learned many advanced spells, and her magical abilities far surpass those of wizards her age.
In July, her letter of acceptance arrives right on time.
The grand and tranquil school of magic seems peaceful, with the greatest wizard stationed in the castle beside the Black Lake, offering complete reassurance.
But its high walls and ancient battlements cannot stop the forces of dark magic from quietly invading from outside.
The wizards, greedily clinging to peace, have no idea that the march of war is drawing near once more...
A long, canon-oriented dramatic fanfic. Harry is gender-swapped and renamed Haria, rendered in Chinese as Halia. Some Slytherin characters have personalities that differ from those in the original.
Theme: Only by scorning death and accepting death can one transcend death.
Same as the 2024 College Entrance Examination, physical and chemical students, with a level of 985 and above. I am hopelessly in love with HP. From the first and second grade of elementary school, I came across the original work, continued to read the movie in junior high school, and read the first HP fanfic in the first semester of high school. During the summer vacation from the second year of high school to the third year of high school, I frantically searched for more fanfiction, binge-watched movies, and tried to read the original English novel. I fell more and more in love with the magical world, and even developed a kind of resistance to reality. School starts tomorrow, and the serious senior high school students will study wholeheartedly. I am very, very eager to pick up the pen in my hand and write an HP fanfic of my own (I will finish the college entrance examination). But I am also very worried. My literary quality is not that high, and the articles I have written are ordinary and ordinary. I may be disappointed with myself. And these should be things that I should worry about ten months later. I can't calm down and devote myself to studying. I can't even keep busy with this kind of entertainment or hobbies. I have to say that I am very disappointed. The fear of the upcoming senior year of high school and the abandonment of my hobbies. What do I do? I'm so confused.
There is another point. In fact, the characters of Draco and Harry are really a perfect match. One is good without choice, and the other is evil without choice. It would be great if they can redeem each other. If not, give him a better ending. Really, novels and movies have achieved the ultimate in realism. Every character is three-dimensional, and many things that cannot be chosen push them to their own last resort. Draco doesn't want to be a Death Eater, but if he does, his parents will die. If he becomes a Death Eater, he will become a murderer. When Draco had to become a Death Eater, and when he had to accept the mission to assassinate the principal, he often went to Myrtle's bathroom to cry. Myrtle told Harry that there used to be a kind and sensitive boy like you who often came here to cry. The famous breakup scene in the bathroom was the last time he went to Myrtle's bathroom to cry. Myrtle said, "Stop crying, I feel so sorry for you." He said, "Myrtle, you don't understand." When he had to assassinate the principal, the reason he wanted to kill him was that if I didn't kill you, Voldemort would kill my whole family. However, he still couldn't do it, so he could only cry and say "expire you"
The author, considering that I am also a high school student myself, and a freshman in high school, I sympathize with what you are going through now, but I dare not compare my current situation with yours, because it makes me ashamed. I am a scumbag. Since I was born, I have neither achieved as impressive achievements as you nor had a clear mind like you. I have been completely ruined. But when I read your farewell article, I was filled with emotions. Yes, aren't we now swinging between the emotional devil and the rational angel? Your mood is shared by most fan authors who are high school students, but I don't have any good suggestions because I don't seem to be qualified to give you suggestions. But one thing I have to say to you is: don't belittle yourself. Your achievements are closely related to your accumulated efforts over time. And as a fan and fanfic lover, I find that the exquisiteness of your writing can always bring me back to the magical world that I dream about and am so familiar with. The description of Haliya is infinitely consistent with the image of the feminine Harry in my heart. This is the reason why you should keep going. We always have various dreams to work hard for, but how many can be truly realized? Here is a sentence from The Wandering Earth 2: In times of crisis, there is only responsibility. The crisis you are facing now is also a crisis that thousands of candidates have to face. You are now facing endless pressure from it, and there is only one word: withstand it. These two words are empty and powerless, but they are also the only encouragement my father gave me. There are endless other things I want to say to you, but they are all condensed in two poems: "The edge of the sword comes from sharpening, and the fragrance of plum blossoms comes from the bitter cold." "There will be times when the wind and waves break, and the clouds and sails will sail across the sea." We readers will always be here, as long as you have not forgotten. These words don't require much ink, and I'm not a sentimental person. I was just inspired by this farewell message when I saw it. Maybe no one will care about this comment, and it won't be seen, but this is just my personal gratitude and best wishes to you. Thank you for bringing us happiness in these days, leading us to make up for the regrets in our hearts, and waiting for your triumph in the summer of June. Finally, I use Professor Dumbledore's words in the movie, "But you know, happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light." (Logic is inherently confusing, don't criticize if you don't like it)
Come on, author. I am a science student who took the college entrance examination in Guizhou in 2023. I am now studying at the Faculty of Science in Grenoble. I sincerely hope that you can get into the school you want in the college entrance examination and achieve your goals. Come on.
It is now June 24, and there are still two months until our return. I look forward to our meeting again. Come on, author.
Next year is also my college entrance examination year, and my grades are not as good as my wife's qaq I am still a liberal arts major, and my dad, a science major, is responsible for half of my mental stress… Come on for the college entrance examination!!!!
I mentioned before that you have gone to the high school with the highest scores in this city. So I think you can get satisfactory results in the college entrance examination as long as you follow the school's footsteps. Don't put too much pressure on yourself. I wish you academic progress.
Dear author, it's only a few days before school starts here. I really want to ask you: Are you okay? When your beautiful words and your heavy determination come to mind, it always pulls my attention away from what I am doing now. You have to prepare for your war. Although I am lucky enough to have some time to make some useful or useless preparations for the battle I am about to have with you. Why do I want to post this comment? Maybe there are too many emotions in this heart that need to be poured out; maybe there are some unsaid things that I still can't help but say. I'm not tough, and I'm not smart. Maybe I've seen too much recently, felt too much, and thought too much, but when I want to say it, I can't say anything. I just hope that we can give ourselves an ending that we won't regret, and I also hope that you can give Haliya a good ending, okay? Okay, that's all, keep preparing for the war, remember, you are never alone (maybe you are out of your mind and can't help but reveal those things, don't blame me)
Haliya will go crazy when she finds out that the person the dog father tried to kill when he was in school was a Sri Lankan cultist——
! After I heard that the author wanted to update, I came to Jinjiang to read it every two hours on average. By the way, this picture is a bit short. Haliya pseudonym: My name is Hermione Hermione: You are so polite, hahahahahahahahaha I wish the author success in his studies ~
