During A University's welcome season, Wen Ran, the goddess of the School of Arts, has her younger brother enroll right on time, making him her junior.

That evening, Wen Ran bombarded Wen Xin'er on WeChat: "Your big sister may look glamorous, and be known as both a top student and a campus goddess, but I've been single throughout all three years of college, and I'm about to start my senior year..."

Wen Xin'er: "Get to the point."

Wen Ran called him right away. "Set me up with a boyfriend. My roommate says the guys in your year are really good-looking. I don't have any other requirements. He just has to be a guy."

The call was on speaker, and everyone immediately turned to look at Wen Xin'er. He cleared his throat, about to offer an awkward apology.

The boy beside him, who had been reading the whole time, looked over at Wen Xin'er and smiled. "Ask your sister what she thinks of me."

-

Everyone knew the School of Arts' campus beauty was dating a handsome junior.

Wen Ran had only been joking around. She never thought it would really happen.

As the boy walked toward her, before she could say a word, Xie Guanxing smiled. Dimples appeared at the corners of his mouth, and he looked pure and innocent.

"Hello, big sister. You're so beautiful."

Wen Ran thought that was what an angel must look like.

It wasn't until Xie Guanxing kissed her that she realized something was off. He looked like he might devour her whole, and it was a little scary.

Wen Ran was stunned.

Xie Guanxing kissed her earlobe and murmured, "I really like you, big sister."

Only later did Wen Ran learn that she was the innocent one.

Nan Le's crush is a bright and spotless paragon.

He's the top student in his year, the campus heartthrob, kind and gentle, polite to everyone, compassionate, friendly to his classmates, respectful to the elderly and loving toward children, and reverent toward his teachers. Every beautiful word in the world applies to him.

His name is Lu Chunxu. Chunxu means springtime. See? Even his name is beautiful.

One day after school, Nan Le's mother couldn't come to pick her up, so she told Nan Le to go to her uncle's place first. Before she left, Nan Le secretly slipped a love letter into Lu Chunxu's desk.

Nan Le's uncle owned a mahjong parlor, and there she saw Lu Chunxu.

The person she thought was practically a god leaned against a pool table, one hand on a cue stick. He took a cigarette someone offered and held it between his lips, then lowered his head as someone lit it for him.

Nan Le went to school an hour early the next day and retrieved her love letter.

She had discovered Lu Chunxu's secret, and he wouldn't let her get away with it.

But from then on, Lu Chunxu stopped pretending in front of her. He was selfish and petty, held grudges over the smallest things, and was fiercely possessive. He was arrogant and looked down on everyone. He wasn't spring rain. He was a razor-sharp sliver of a blade.

But she still liked him.

Nan Le started going to her uncle's place more and more often. On her eighteenth birthday, all the guys, girls, uncles, and aunties there had prepared gifts for her. Lu Chunxu was there too. He handed her a slip of paper and said, "Read it when you get home."

When she got home, Nan Le hid under her covers and eagerly opened the note, using her phone screen for light. She read the words on the paper one by one:

"Nan Le, I've already read that love letter."

Nan Le: !
