Keeping You All to Myself

Chi Fang noticed someone. He had gentle eyes, a pleasant voice, and handsome features. He seemed easy to talk to, but in reality, he kept everyone at arm's length. When Chi Fang met his eyes, the other man smiled warmly and greeted him, but there was no sign of Chi Fang in his gaze. Chi Fang couldn't accept that. He wanted to appear in those eyes. Wen Rongyi was slow to warm up by nature and had little interest in people or things. Even joining the talent show was just so he could accompany his childhood friend. He didn't want to debut. He only wanted his childhood friend to see his dream come true. But the very thing he feared came to pass. Not long after the first performance, Wen Rongyi got a call saying his childhood friend had gotten into a fight with this season's most popular contestant. Wen Rongyi rushed to the scene through the rain. Amid the lights and revelry, Chi Fang sat on a sofa in a black denim jacket, holding a glass. His features were striking, and faint scars marked his pale fingers. He raised his eyes, his face alluring, like an emperor of the dark. Wen Rongyi approached him and said politely, "I'm sorry. He didn't mean to offend you. I apologize on his behalf, and I hope you won't take it to heart." Chi Fang watched him in silence, his deep-set eyes flickering between light and shadow. He set down his glass and leaned back against the sofa. "All right," he said. "But I'll take you in exchange." 2020.07.01 Theme: Taking the initiative is always more likely to bring success than passively waiting
