I Maxed Out My Cultivation Because I Feared Death

Baili Shannai is the ultimate villain, a great demon in a novel. She had no idea how strong that person was. All she saw was herself being pricked with countless needles until she looked like a hedgehog. Luckily, the story hadn't started yet, so she still had another five hundred years to train. Five hundred years later, Shannai emerged from the demon realm with her skills perfected and set herself a modest goal: destroy the righteous sects and seize their territory! She knew better than to act rashly. She would bring them down from within. So she infiltrated the recruitment drive of the greatest sect, only to be tested as having all five elements and a useless spiritual root! She was told she would be a good-for-nothing for the rest of her life. Shannai: What?! My strength counts as useless here! Deeply shaken, Shannai smashed the spirit-testing mountain with one punch, causing a landslide. But instead, the crowd rushed to check on her: "Look at this poor kid, so scared she doesn't even know to run. Are you hurt?" Later, she met two people who had also failed to get into the greatest sect. They looked familiar. She was sure this was love at first sight. Then she realized, to her amusement, that she'd infiltrated the protagonist's group. No matter. She would continue with her plan: bring them down from within. Cang Shu had a junior sister who was super cute. Whenever she ran into trouble, she would say, "Bean paste it." Never mind. He knew she liked sweet red bean rice cakes. Then, one day, his junior sister was abducted by villains. When Cang Shu found her, she stood atop a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood, drenched in gore, smashing heads with a staff one after another. There were no ordinary people beneath her staff, only some of the most powerful figures in the cultivation world. Only then did he understand that she'd been saying, "Kill them all." He loved her even more. Theme: Stay positive and optimistic
