The Heartthrob Only Wants to Follow the Plot [Quick Transmigration]

Ye Jing, an employee assigned to the Supporting Character Department, just wants to quietly follow the plot. But! What he doesn't know is that he's somehow a magnet for everyone! Argh!

As the child switched at birth in a wealthy family, he's supposed to wait until his birthday for the truth to come out and get kicked out of the house. Instead, he waits so long that ages pass. When he finally has no choice but to expose the truth himself, the real rich second-generation protagonist and love interest refuses to acknowledge his identity? His adoptive parents take his hand and say solemnly, "You must have believed a rumor. A mere DNA test can't be trusted!"

Ye Jing: "?"

He was supposed to become a wealthy and powerful man's kept actor in Republican-era China, acting arrogant and throwing his weight around until he was eventually discarded. Who could have known that the powerful man would keep doting on him and even call him cute?

After failing his mission, Ye Jing: "Heh."

Theme: Even if you accidentally make a complete mess of things, they will still work out for the better in the end.
