(Honestly, I just want to write a lighthearted story...)
Carrying the damp, painful past of Snow Country with her, fifteen-year-old Nishijima Hotaru is forced into the "normal life" she has longed for over the past nine years after a sudden accident. Her life, controlled by the piano, comes to an abrupt end. Like a toddler just learning to walk, she clumsily and stubbornly learns about friendship, family, and... unexpected, tender feelings.
Everything beautiful and warm in her life begins in Tokyo.
Baseball, boys, the long slope beyond the school grounds, and a song that promises a brighter future.
"I never knew we were the same TYPE! We both work our tails off behind the scenes and shine in front of everyone!"
"No, our backgrounds are different..."
"Really? But if Senior Manishima calls you a 'genius,' you must have your own special 'slider' on the piano, right?"
"Senior Manishima exaggerates, but... I suppose I do."
"Oh! I want to hear it, Hotaru!"
"Then... Liszt's La Campanella."
"Hahaha, sounds good!"
A little slice-of-life story about growing up and the bonds we share. May the children touched by God soon find their happy songs!
Amahisa Kousei & Nishijima Hotaru
Theme: A coming-of-age story.
I thought it was Goro Shigeno
Is the heroine another Arima Kousei?
