White Night Roses

[Secret identities] [Cyberpunk] [Wasteland] [Mutant beasts]

When Earthlings invaded Kepler-22b, they followed the law of the jungle.

They drove out the natives and slaughtered mutant beasts, then built White Night City and ushered in a new cyberpunk era.

But after White Night City reached its peak, it only went downhill. The board had no choice but to parachute in an executive to take charge, barely managing to turn things around.

Sai Wei, a native, became a wanted criminal in both White Night City and the Wandering City through her own efforts. Qiao Yang was originally a clingy dog who followed Sai Wei around, doing everything he could to get noticed, yet rumors in White Night City claimed he was worth tens of millions.

It wasn't until Sai Wei was captured that she learned Qiao Yang had made his fortune selling information about her whereabouts.

"You think capturing me is all it takes? It's not clear yet who'll kill whom."

That day, Sai Wei once again turned White Night City upside down, but spared Qiao Yang.

Later, Sai Wei's true identity was revealed, and a certain someone dropped the act and came clean.

"I didn't know Executive Director, you had so many interests. You like playing the dog, and you like following people around."
