This is a wondrous imagining of magic.
Where does magic come from? Why was Dark Magic born? Are there gods in this world? Is Avalon really in Britain? How do wizards gain their magic? I don't know the answers. I just like to imagine that there are answers.
Someone once said that death is what gives life meaning. I say that meeting someone is what gives life meaning.
Female lead: Liliana Evans, Slytherin's celebrated social butterfly, Hufflepuff's famous boarder, Gryffindor's renowned family-club president, Ravenclaw's well-known day student, and Hogwarts's generous benefactor. Well, actually, she's just a competitive little brat. I only hope she doesn't scare everyone with how special she thinks she is. Her full name is Liliana Aisha Evans. Her nationality and wizarding heritage are both a complete mishmash, but she's still a talented, lucky slacker. When will the mysteries surrounding this slacker be unraveled?
Male lead: Hugo Cabrit, an unremarkable Ravenclaw prodigy and a true trendsetter of his era. The only reason he's the male lead is that I, a Ravenclaw chick, pulled strings for him (strike that). He carries the author's own will: to change the world! (For now, he's a poor little guy with even less page time than the supporting cast.)
A few things to be aware of: I've rebuilt the entire Nordic Wizarding World, and some parts differ greatly from the original. I've referenced some Nordic myths, but added plenty of my own twists. Basically, you'll have to trust either the Europeans or me. The female lead is a bit of a hypocrite. In her first year, she doesn't get along with Hermione and treats her terribly. The female lead comes from a capitalist family, so this kid speaks with a real capitalist flair. Draco Malfoy's personality is as nasty as in the original, but the other Slytherin side characters will be softened a little when the plot calls for it. The author loves Flipped, and characters from the film will appear. This is just a tribute, so their names and stories won't be changed. They are the same people having the same story in the wizarding world, but they won't take up much space. In the author's world, there are no cursed children or Fantastic Beasts 3. I personally don't believe such things exist (covers eyes). The author talks a lot, as you can see from how long this list of warnings is. If that bothers you, please steer clear, because I won't change (teehee).
All in all, this is a story about growing up. Isn't it fun to watch a little girl go from clueless to a master of spells?
