[Turgenev] Radiance

When Cui Can woke up, she found herself in Russia in 1834, as Sophia, the darling of Petersburg University. She’d also been forcibly bound to a wish-fulfillment System.

At the time, a tall, handsome young man transferring from Moscow University caused a stir among the students.

Cui Can rose onto her toes to look at the man surrounded by the crowd, his back to her, then turned to ask the classmate beside her, "Who is that?"

As soon as the words left her mouth, the crowd parted and the man turned to walk toward her. The System’s voice rang out too.

In his previous life, he never married. He gave his whole heart to Pauline, a married woman. In this life, he decides to give up on love and focus on writing. It’s a good plan, except there’s a girl who keeps showing up in front of him, tirelessly, talking nonsense about how she likes him.

He doesn’t believe anyone could like him, but he lets the girl into his world anyway. He never expected this small act of kindness to change his whole life.

Many years later, Turgenev wrote in his memoirs: I should have known then that a soft heart is one of the signs of falling in love.
