Nikaido Tsukihime is male. As a child, he was adopted by his uncle Karlheinz (Nikaido Togo) and became the youngest in the family, with six older brothers. When he was four, he met Yukimura Seiichi and Sanada Genichiro at a tennis club. Having no emotions, he couldn't understand the boys' passion and excitement for tennis, and thought it was incredibly boring. The two boys refused to accept that and made a promise with Tsukihime: tennis wasn't boring. He would go to Rikkai and join the tennis club to see for himself.
After they fulfilled their bet, Tsukihime began practicing tennis. Later, because of Cordelia, his memories became jumbled. When he woke up, he had forgotten everything, though he seemed to remember promising someone that they would join the tennis club together. Little by little, he began his own tennis journey...
