[Bungo Stray Dogs] Disqualified

Strange things happen for an unknown reason after the Boss Dazai from the IF timeline jumps off a building. The story involves two timelines, the original timeline and the IF timeline, and switches between them at any time. A 2.0 version of "Dark Era Dazai at the Armed Detective Agency," with a more serious tone. * Seventeen-year-old Dazai unexpectedly arrives in a world five years in the future. In the lulls between joking around with a very proper Chuuya, he sometimes catches sight of a Chuuya wearing a red scarf. It's just a fleeting glimpse, and the next moment he's vanished from sight. No matter how much Dazai investigates, he can't find out anything. At the same time, a mysterious Russian boy appears... * A few things to keep in mind: 1. The Fyodor in this story is always the IF version, though the Fyodor from the original timeline might escape from prison. 2. Seventeen-year-old Dazai knows the title "Demon," but doesn't know what he looks like or what his name is. 3. Seeing seventeen-year-old Dazai, Mori five years in the future wants to make amends, so he comes across as a bit of a doting father. 4. Seventeen-year-old Dazai has a fledgling complex. 5. Seventeen-year-old Dazai might not be able to handle Chuuya, since there is a bit of a gap between an adult and a minor. * About my take on seventeen-year-old Dazai (As far as I can tell, Asagiri has only written him at 14, 16, 18, and 22, so let me slip through the gap.) Like a rose in the dark, he's dangerous and unwell, yet possesses an attraction that's impossible to ignore. Unlike the 18- and 16-year-old versions, however, the 17-year-old Dazai's boyish side is more pronounced. He loves pranks, loves courting death, and loves dancing around Mori's, Chuuya's, and Kunikida's hot-button issues. He likes interesting things and hates boredom. He joins the Agency mostly to amuse himself and to spite Mori. Because of a bet with a friend, he's putting suicide aside for the time being. He has a hard time understanding how his 18-year-old self could have defected, firmly believing he would never do something so cowardly. He denies the relationships that exist in the present-day world five years later. He's on very good terms with Ango. When it comes to Oda Sakunosuke's death, he feels more regret than anything else. His relationships with everyone: Things are a little uneven, after all, five years have passed. Compared to them, he lacks life experience and is basically someone living in the past. In any case, Chuuya will take the opportunity to give him a hard time. * As for whether everyone would worry when 22-year-old Dazai disappears, the answer is that they absolutely trust him to take care of himself. There's no need to worry about it at all. * The overall tone is still about redemption and the like. Theme: Compared to the Armed Detective Agency Dazai's obsession in the original timeline, the Boss Dazai from the IF timeline wants to redeem himself, and wants even more for others to find happiness. This is a story centered on redemption. There is no absolute right or wrong, only different perspectives.
