“Parting Thoughts” by Yuan Zhen
Once I’d seen the ocean, no other water could compare; once I’d seen the clouds of Mount Wu, no other clouds would do.
I glance at the flowers as I pass, too listless to look back; half my heart is devoted to the Way, the other half to you.
This is an utterly conventional story about repaying a debt of gratitude.
Several hundred years ago, a human child accidentally brought a snail into the garden behind a temple.
The little snail had no idea how long it took her to crawl from the grass in the garden onto the stone path. But then a “kind-hearted” human put her back in the grass... She crawled again... Someone put her back again... She crawled again... Back into the grass... Round and round it went...
And so, that tiny stretch of distance took her a hundred years to cross.
At last, the lazy little snail turned into a human, only to be told that before she could cultivate to immortality, she had to repay the kindness she owed.
Her benefactor? ...The person who brought her to the temple, or the person who “stopped” her from crawling out of the grass and onto the path?
She stretches lazily. Either one will do, as long as she can repay the favor.
Once she has, she can become one of those exceedingly rare “lazy immortals.”
So, with her boneless, floppy body in tow, she sets off at a snail’s pace to find the person who showed her “kindness.”
The heroine is a snail: she talks slowly and moves slowly, and she’ll drive you to your grave with her slowness. So think carefully before jumping into this pit, o(∩_∩)o...haha.

It's so stupid to write about their marriage status, it's very stingy.
Alas, I've finished reading it. It's a very heartwarming article, but I still have more to say! Where is the new article?
